Onsite - Luck?

It is never ending dream of a Software Engineer to get Onsite Opportunity. It is the only reason that make people's work interesting for the first few years!  Be it being good to the Lead or Manager, prompt response to the phone calls/emails, work over-time to deliver on-time to keep Onsite hopes alive.

But one don't know, there is an important factor involved in the pursuit of Onsite. For the matter of fact, forbidden this factor there is no use of good grades to get an admission in a reputed college, minor accidents could be fatal, mistakes could become blunders. By this time you would have guessed what I am referring to, yes it is LUCK.

Having tons of thoughtful ideas, knowledge enough to meet deadlines, wisdom enough to survive would not suffice to make dollars.

I've personally known people who waited for over a decade to get onsite. They are technically sound with good Interpersonal skills but still lacks the factor that Almighty give us - LUCK. Again on the other side of the coin, there are people who are immature, lacking skills, not so good maintaining relations with people still have the privilege to Onsite.

I'm not against undeserving people having Onsite, wanted to vent out emotions for deserved people to make some extra bucks for their perpetual hard work and dedication.

On a closing note, one should always be happy with what one have and get in the life striving for a better tomorrow.

P.S; Dedicated to all the onsite dreaming deserving friends.
